My friends, something that you all may know is near-and-dear to my heart is helping the families affected by the tragedy that occurred in Sandy Hook on December 14, 2012. For a long time I felt helpless, then I started to become more active on the political side of the issue (joining Mayors Against Guns and other causes)… however, I received this beautiful song and note from a family who is doing something to benefit the community first-hand. Please take a moment, and donate $0.99 towards the Sandy Hook victims and community by downloading a copy of this song on iTunes, Spotify, or any other place it is available. It speaks volumes to those affected when they can see people making an effort to ease their struggle. I honestly believe that if they see dozens of people making a small effort it has a greater effect than one person making a huge effort. Maxx and his family have already made the biggest effort for this, by writing, producing and making this song available… They did all the work so now we can all show our support individually. Since many people are cynical and untrusting, I'm attaching a newspaper article regarding this fundraiser as well as the link to iTunes for the song, by 10-year old Maxx Henry, his sister Helena, and family. *** Also, Regardless of your feelings towards gun control/restrictions, this helps people that have already been victims of a tragedy. Negativity will not help people who have already experienced so much pain, and your point will not be made in this post.
