I spent last weekend in Whidbey Island, Washington to attend a ceremony to honor my late Sensei, horse back riding instructor, mentor and friend George Morse. There, myself and 3 other judoka were awarded a scholarship in his name. It was an emotional event but reminded me to always be kind to others like George was and to keep your loved ones close. Here I am pictured with Amoy Morse, my sensei's incredible wife and the other half of a great man. Both of whom have shown me what it means to selflessly give to others and spread kindness. RIP Sensei George.
