A great day for Iranians in Europe:

Sardar Azmoun (Rubin Kazan) scored a goal 3 minutes into the match to put Rubin ahead in their league match against FK Rostov. Unfortunately Rubin lost 2-1. Azmoun played the full 90 minutes and had numerous shots on goal.

Ashkan Dejagah (Fulham) still recovering from a minor leg injury, scored in his second consecutive match, coming on as a sub in the 64th minute. Several minutes later, Dejagah put the ball in the back of the net for Fulham to tie the match up at 1-1. Everton unfortunately went on to score two more goals and beat Fulham 3-1, making survival in the premier league look very hard for Fulham.
Masoud Shojaie (Las Palmas) played the full 90 minutes in Las Palmas' 2-1 win over Almeria, bringing them just 3 points within second place which would give them an automatic promotion as opposed to a playoff spot (Las Palmas is currently in 3rd place which gets a playoff spot). Masoud was brought down in the box late in the game which got Las Palmas the game winning penalty.
