Designed by George Gilbert Scott and originally opened as the Midland Grand Hotel in 1873, his new creation raised standards in the London hotel scene considerably. However, just 60 years later, the hotel closed, and after years of use as railway offices, fell derelict. // Thankfully the restored and renamed St. Pancras Renaissance Hotel re-opened on 14 March 2011 with all the modern facilities you would come to expect, slotted seamlessly into the historic fabric.
