This is my daughter, there are many children like her…but this one is mine.

Those of you that know me know that humanitarian issues are always close to my heart especially when they involve children. Last week my good friend (@moneal) posted about Vivienne Harr who saw a photo of two enslaved boys in Nepal, and was moved to help by setting up her lemonade stand. With the goal of freeing 500 children from a life of slavery, rain or shine, she made a stand for 365 days selling her lemonade for donations & after 173 days, she hit her initial goal of $100K. Through the support of her community, she was able to raise enough money to free 500 slaves, but she wasn't going to let that stop her, after all child slavery still exists.

On February 1st, will you #Standwithme for freedom? February 1st, 2014, is the opening day of the #standwithme movie tour and also, National Freedom Day. Michael is going to celebrate Vivienne's progress and growing success by hosting an Instameet in San Francisco. Michael will be co-hosting the event with @colincabalka, @jayzombie, and@makeastandlemonaid. They will be meeting at Ocean Beach by the Cliff House at 3pm.
