I got some bummed texts from my awesome ex, the lovely 4'9" violinist Mia Matsumiya, last night because of some online articles claiming Christina Ricci has 'started a new trend of fitting into small spaces' called 'Riccing.' I think we need to give credit where credit is due and call this trend Matsumiyaing or, at least, Miaing, as evidenced by these photos from 2010 - Mia in a plastic container in a container store, Mia in a newspaper stand (this was on our first date), Mia in a queen-sized pillowcase (you read that right - QUEEN-sized), and Mia in my suitcase. There are dozens more photos of Mia in small spaces online we took over our two years together.
