I'll never forget listening to #DrMartinLutherKing 's speech as a kid. I was in second grade, and I remember watching the grainy black and white footage of him speaking those powerful words. I remember wondering with each line at the end of his speech, "Wow..did Dr. King dream all these things on different nights?" I remember wondering, "How can Dr King remember his dream so clearly when I always forget mine the moment I wake up?" Then I remember the part when he said these words,
"The whirlwinds of revolt will continue to shake the foundations of our nation until the bright day of justice emerges. "
And I knew then that this was the type of dream that kept with Dr Martin Luther King whether he was asleep or awake, because he was speaking on behalf of a nation who didn't even know it were possible to dream such a thing.
Thank you Dr Martin Luther King for teaching me the kind of dream that can never be forgotten. #mlk #mlkday #inspiration #dreamer #rolemodel #ihaveadream
