I've been working on a Street Opera for as long as I can remember. In the 70s I wrote a Black Requiem for Ray Charles and we performed it with the Houston Symphony and the Prairie View Choir. But that was something else. This project (a Street Opera) has been gnawing at me for years. I can't wait to share it with all of you.
