There is no surprise as to why Ishod is Thrasher Magazine’s Skater of the Year for 2013 and top seed for the first Populist award. 2013 looked like this for him: 6th at Tampa Pro, skated in every @StreetLeague contest spanning the globe with a 4th in Portland and a 10th in overall standings, throw in BATB 6 and Run & Gun to round out his contest schedule, then move over to the magazines where he graced the Februrary ‘13 cover of the @TheSkateboardMag as well as an interview, the November ‘13 cover of Thrasher accompanied with a 16 page interview, a contents spread and 8 page interview in the September issue of Transworld and then somehow managed to release 4 video parts: Wair and Tear, Sabotage 3, Chronicling Ishod: The Prequel and the last part in @Nike Skateboarding’s latest opus Chronicles 2, which earned him a nomination, and quite possibly a win, for Transworld’s Best Video Part of the year. With all of that, it’s hard to deny Ishod’s impact on skateboarding in 2013.
