Meet 20 year old barber/shoe collector Jose Mendoza who was robbed & gunned down on Oak Park Avenue & died at 10pm on New Years Eve from one fatal gunshot wound to the chest. Jose was killed at the barbershop "Millennium Cuts" where he worked & also traded, bought & sold shoes. His murder was a botched robbery attempt by 3 men who were supposed to be selling Jose a pair of "Yeezy's" for $1800 dollars which he was robbed of with no intention by his killers to ever give him the shoes. Jose was the youngest of his brothers & had been cutting hair & collecting shoes since he was 14 years old. This story was brought to me by my homie from Chicago @ghost_rilla who like me is also a "Sneaker Head" & it touched me simply because I know how much shoes mean to most of us & the lengths we go to sell or acquire shoes in demand like retro Jordan's or in this sad case the "Yeezy's". Today on behalf of myself @L_S_Brown his wife @MonicaMyLife & @therobinhoodproject we are donating $10,000 in Jose Mendoza's name... $5,000 going directly to his family & $5,000 to @ceasefire2014 #CeaseFireChicago for the next under 21 youth who's life is taken by gun violence. If you're in the Chicago area there are a bunch of barbershops who are taking donations on @ghost_rilla's page & all you have to do is stop in with your donation in a sealed envelope & it will be given to Jose's family.
