• Fisht is the name of the highest peak in the Main Caucasian Ridge, at a height of around 3000 m
• The "Fisht" Olympic Stadium is designed to host the Opening and Closing Ceremonies of the XXII Olympic Winter Games and XI Paralympic Winter Games of 2014 in Sochi.
• In the foundations of the Olympic stadium a time capsule containing a message to future generations has been laid down: "Believe in your strengths, and together we will win."
• The "Fisht" is the only arena in the Olympic Park where sporting events are not going to be held.
