In 1951 the Academy Awards were held at the Pantages Theatre (just a few blocks from where it is now held). "All About Eve" won for Best Motion Picture, Costume Design, Directing and Sound. In fact here's Thomas Moulton accepting the Oscar for best Sound Recording from Marilyn Monroe.
