There was not a dry eye in the house last night as my friend Calvin introduced his brother Craig to speak about their family's journey. Calvin is finally comfortable being a gay man. After all the tormenting and being called "less than." And in part, that comes from Craig's fight. Craig was a marine. And served this country proudly. And he enlisted to defend our right to freedom. His brother's right, as he so poignantly spoke about last night, to have the same wedding someday that Craig did when he married his wife. Craig hopes to be the best man when Calvin gets married to the man of his dreams. #equalitymatters - so grateful to the people at the @humanrightscampaign who are fighting every day to make equality a reality.
