Dear friends, we have some heartbreaking news to share! You may have noticed that Max's eyes have always been different. However, the color of the iris and shape of the pupil in his left eye started changing significantly over the last year. We have been consulting a doctor for a long time now, regulary monitoring the progression of his eye. Now it is pretty clear that there is a tumor growing in his eye. Since Max is 8 years old and we want him to be with us for many years to come, we decided to have his eye removed! Making this call has been very difficult for us and the doctors believe it is the only choice to prevent eventual cancer from spreading. We love him very much and we hope he will recover quickly. His surgery is scheduled for tuesday.
