At the #PTTOW Conference in 2011. When asked about Bin Laden's death, the #DalaiLama XIV ( Tenzin Gyatso, born Lhamo Dondrub) said, and I paraphrase, "You learn your biggest lessons from your enemies. If you kill them, you may miss the opportunity for that lesson." It was an honor to meet him in this lifetime. He has never surfed or even thought about it because he never learned to swim. Maybe if he did we'd all learn to be happy sharing our best waves with complete strangers and even enemies.
