Designed for #AlexanderGirard's 1960 Latin-themed restaurant in New York's Time & Life Building, the La Fonda chair by Charles & Ray #Eames offered a lower profile that wouldn't disturb the plane of the restaurant's tabletops. The chair became commercially available in a variety of configurations soon after, and remained in production until the early 1980's.
