Nikon School Tip: Sunshine

As Australians, we live and breath by the Sun. From Summers at the beach to barbeques at sunset, the sun provides amazing photo opportunities.
For those of you who love shooting the sun as much as we do, here are some tips for shooting at sunset: "Don't just shoot when the sun goes down" says Jim Harmer. "Some of the best shots are taken 15 to 20 minutes after the sun's gone." He suggests using a tripod to allow for creative shutter speeds (usually through a small aperture- f/16, f/18 or f/22.) When the sun is up, he thinks your best bet is to use Aperture Priority to save you adjusting the aperture every 30 seconds.
