It's a busy day today in low Earth orbit! Expedition 36 Commander Pavel Vinogradov, along with Flight Engineers Chris Cassidy and Alexander Misurkin, who all arrived at the International Space Station on March 28, will be headed home to Earth when Expedition 36 undocks from the station today at 7:35 p.m. EDT.
Staying behind will be Flight Engineer Fyodor Yurchikhin, who took over command of the space station yesterday, along with Flight Engineers Karen Nyberg and Luca Parmitano. The three have been orbiting Earth since May 28 and are scheduled for a return home in November. Scheduled to join Expedition 37 on Sept. 25 are Flight Engineers Oleg Kotov, Mike Hopkins and Sergey Ryazanskiy.
