Thank you for all the beautiful words!! From us both: thank you. It means a lot. Here is the story!
He brought me to the very top of Haleakaka here in Maui (10,000 ft up) and we were literally above the clouds. It was freezing cold but we had blankets and a picnic... And champagne (and still I had no clue what was coming!)! We've had such a romantic time on this trip that it didn't seem out of place at all. We leaned against a rock and watched the sun sink below the clouds, did some very elevated handstands (of course), saw the moon rise and eventually the stars come out one by one. When the sky was getting dark and the sunset was a bright orange, Dennis went down on one knee and asked me to marry him. I was so surprised I burst into tears (like, real tears, not the soft flattering kind) and when he showed me the ring... It's my grandmothers ring. She passed away when I was 16 and I still think about her every day. My mom helped ship it from Sweden and next to my grandfathers name and the date they married (40 years ago) it's inscribed D❤R. I cannot believe my family knew for so long. Dennis even asked my father for permission... Everything about this moment is so special and I'm the whole thing is just now beginning to sink in. We are just enjoying every second of each other and this magical place right now. Life is beautiful! From us both... Love to you all. Just love. So much of it. @dennisfromsalad #love #love #love
