100 years ago today climbers Hudson Stuck, Harry Karstens, Walter Harper, and Robert Tatum reached the summit of #denali. They were #climbing from the north, via what is now known as the sourdough route. In 1951 Brad Washburn pioneered the West Buttress, the most popular route to the summit. In a mere 100 years we have gone from climbing Denali to Everest to the moon. Where will the next #100 years take us? The late Cliff Hudson and his classic Cessna 185 (paint weighed 35 lb so his aircraft was fast and light) at Kahiltna Base Camp.
