In the fall of 2007 I met Jairus for the first time in a season of transition in my life.
Since then, Jairus has become one of my best friends on the planet.
Countless late night adventures, catching things in fire, cycle-graming, camping, dropping hundreds of bouncy balls down five flights of stairs, and even a few MarioKart 64 tournaments. And yes, he's even beat me a few times at MairoKart (once...maybe?) I would not be who I am today if it wasn't for people like Jairus in my life.
Whatever you do, remember that people are not a platform, people are people, and your biggest opportunity to change the world is loving the person right in front of you.
