#ThisIsSoHeavy! Want the short version of the story not told about this shark attack at Muriwai beach, NZ two days ago?
Chris, Keith and Dan Malloy (@thetorpedopeople) are staying at this spot where it happened. Chris does a run to the store and tells Keith and Dan to go for a bodysurf. Chris comes back 30mins later to see crowds gathered and someone tells him a bodysurfer just got taken by a great white! The lifeguards are shooting at the great white from a zodiac to get it to let go of the body and everyone is watching it from a hill/cliff. Another shark is also spotted during the melee.
While the brothers were bodysurfing, another guy came out for a swim also (filmmaker Adam Strange, 46yo from NZ). Dan had a few words in passing as he and Keith were heading in and left the water 15 mins before the shark showed up. Dan was the last one to speak to Adam.
