I got my first iPhone in April of 2011 & @Instagram was the first app that I downloaded. Prior to my iPhone I had a Blackberry Storm & remember seeing a bunch of my friends post these photos with "cool boarders" and "cool filters" & wishing I could apply them to my photos.
More than that, I really wanted to have the platform be a place where I could be challenged to create photos on a daily basis.
I never expected to build so many incredible friendships & life long relationships through a fun little app. But over the past two years, I have met some pretty amazing people, many of who I would call some of my best friends.
Instagram has become more than just a place for me to share photos with people, but an environment where we can share life together.
Just a few nights ago I had the opportunity to have dinner with all of these amazing people & snapped some Instax of everyone. Thankful that such a small little app could bring us all together. Illustrations by @madisonallen:
