2 Corinthians 12:7-10
There are some things that we'll ask God to deliver us from, but He may not take it away because it may be there to keep us humble. The struggle may be left there to keep us connected with God. What makes us weak is what reassures us that we are only human, we're not as great as we think. "So I am very happy to brag about my weaknesses. Then Christ's power can live in me." Brag more about what you can't do rather than what you can do. Don't beat yourself up into self pity or depression, but do keep your mind at a level where God/Christ can get glory. These are ways to keep us humble. We can't let your pride/arrogance (or the many great compliments from people) turn us into mini make-believe gods. We can't allow good seasons/arrogance make us believe that we are something that we are not. Work hard, but STAY HUMBLE! It's a way to stay focused. Remember why you're here, and how you got there.
