Honoring the Fallen

📍 Carnegie, Oklahoma (Dec. 7, 2023)

#Marines with Marine Artillery Detachment, Ft. Sill, Oklahoma, carry the remains of WWII Veteran Pfc. Charles R. Taylor to his final resting place at Carnegie Cemetery.

Taylor was assigned to the Marine Detachment aboard the battleship USS Oklahoma during the Japanese attack on Pearl Harbor on Dec. 7, 1941. The Defense POW/MIA Accounting Agency successfully recovered and identified Taylor’s remains on July 26, 2021, and he was laid to rest with full military honors on the 82nd Anniversary of that fateful day.
