Unsung Heroes.

Despite the ongoing, unacceptable events that persist in the world leaving us feeling powerless, there are countless individuals on the ground who courageously and selflessly help people in need. As an artist, I’m in awe of how they impact and change refugee lives every single day. And with utmost respect, I’m happy and honored in supporting these unsung heroes.

今も世界中で無情な状況が続く中、誰に知られることなく救いを必要としてる人たちに手を差し伸べ、日々支え続ける彼らを心から尊敬します。

【2023年「ナンセン難民賞」発表】
2023年の「ナンセン難民賞」が発表になりました。
今年の受賞者は、ケニアで難民の子どもの教育支援に尽力してきた元難民のジャーナリスト、アブドゥラ・ミレさんです。
ナンセン難民賞は、探検家、科学者、外交官、人道主義者として名をはせたノルウェー人のフリチョフ・ナンセンにちなんで創設され、難民や国内避難民、無国籍者の保護に多大な貢献を果たした個人・団体に贈られます。
フィリッポ・グランディ国連難民高等弁務官は「アブドゥラ・ミレさんは、故郷を追われた人々のコミュニティから、革新的なアイデアを生み出すことができることを示した、まさに生きる証人です。難民の教育の質を向上させるうえで、素晴らしい臨機応変さと粘り強さを見せてくれました」と話します。
