Back in 2018, a conversation with @jaredbl1 and @siegelajs started about whether there was anything more to be done with Scott Pilgrim. I replied with the oft-requested suggestion that @radiomaru’s incredible series should be animated. Bryan was into the idea but didn’t want to simply revisit the same material he started 20 years ago. So after brainstorming with @bdgrabinski, they co-created the wild new take and ran the show on this amazing adventure that will make your head spin and your 8-bit heart sing. This whole process has been a dream. From reading Bryan and BenDavid’s first scripts, to me getting the whole entire gang back together on the same group email we’ve had going since 2010, to hearing the voices of Micheal Cera, Mary Elizabeth Winstead, Kieran Culkin, Chris Evans, @annakendrick47, @brielarson, @msalisonpill, @plazadeaubrey, @brandonjrouth, Jason Schwartzman, Johnny Simmons, @markwebber, @mistergarf, @ellewongster and @satyasees (!) playing their parts again and then seeing the brilliant creative geniuses of @sciencesaru create 8 insane episodes of beautiful anime. I cannot sing the praises enough of Bryan, BenDavid, ALL the cast, (including many surprising cameos), the music by @anamanguchi_official and @joecomposer and the utter wizards at @sciencesaru led by Director @aberukuma and Producer @eunyoung_tokyo. And endless thanks to Jared, Adam, Marc Platt, Nira Park, Michael Bacall and everyone at @ucp and @netflix for making the impossible possible.
