I am smitten with @hancockshakervillage, there is no denying it. I’ve been a fan of shaker style as long as I can remember. The simplicity of the design, yet designers that are incredibly aesthetically pleasing and undeniably part of the American style have always drawn me in as much as I love early American style. The craftsmanship is unparalleled. Here in Kentucky we have multiple shaker villages. Pleasant Hill is a place I take all my friends when they visit Kentucky. Hancock Shaker Village was unlike any I’ve seen before. Nestled in the idyllic hills of western Massachusetts this place feels like a step back in time. A reminder of a peaceful yet strenuous life that have all been forgotten with the advances of man. While I don’t think I’d be cut out for Shaker life, it is a place I will visit as often as I can. #shaker #americana.
