After almost two decades, @andre3000 is officially releasing a brand new album.
'New Blue Sun' is set to release this Friday, November 17 and will hear 3 Stacks play different flutes and digital wind instruments in place of rapping. ”I've been interested in winds for a long time, so it was just a natural progression for me to go into flutes,” André said. “I just like messing with instruments and I gravitated mostly toward wind.”
The album will be entirely instrumentally centered around woodwinds. According to an NPR interview, Andre even went as far as adding "Warning: no bars" on the album packaging. The first track on the album will be titled:
"I swear, I Really Wanted To Make A “Rap” Album But This Is Literally The Way The Wind Blew Me This Time."
