I was diagnosed at a young age, and spent many years feeling insecure about my condition, with very low self confidence. I was worried about acceptance, becoming a cyborg, my quality of life, building a family, and being able to do the things that I love. What I want the world to know about Diabetes is: While it is a serious chronic disease, with responsibility and new technology like Dexcom CGM, you can accomplish anything! I do my best to show people that living an adventurous life is possible. Now I hold my head high, I’ve come a long way, and I’m always evolving. If I can have a fulfilling life, and start the family of my dreams, you can too. Being part cyborg isn’t all bad. On a sidenote. Because of the strike, I’ve had a lot of time to put into diabetes advocating. From speaking at Leadership Summits, to blitzing the capital with the JDRF, to promoting my documentary @breakinglimitsfilm. One of my favorite partnerships has always been Dexcom.
