This man-made canal contains a concentrated brine solution that is not suitable for human consumption. This canal is a part of potash mining, which is present here due to the abundance of salt.
The mine produces potash, which is a potassium-containing salt used in fertilizer. Canals transport this concentrated brine solution to evaporation pools. It is strongly advised not to swim in this area.
