It didn’t feel right and I felt like it all became about everyone else’s ideals and mine last. It was terrifying but I had to make a change asap, …switch and find someone who felt like they cared about my baby and me first. I googled, I asked around and was recommended by someone at @huntingtonhospital in #southpasadena a lady called Dr Rashida N’gouamba @simplyobgyn who is busy and in demand and new patients requests being wait listed at that time. She made space for me because of my circumstances and #preclampsia predicament and thankfully took me on!! She gave me no nonsense, big sisterly approach with professional confidence that put me at ease and made me feel so completely taken care of. Checking in daily, making hospital work around dates and times that were preferred for me she delivered my baby by c section and gave me a scar that quite frankly ..is barely visible. I’ve never seen a doc in America who felt so grounding, competent and focussed on patient before money or the system. Went in for my annual yesterday…. and the consistent care for my emotional, mental, physical health remains.
