Lisa’s son Tucker recently started in our program at South Louisiana Community College, and she reached out to let us know how much she values the #MetallicaScholars Initiative. “I wanted to extend my sincerest gratitude to Metallica for bestowing upon students grants for career and technical education. I am a 27-year veteran educator who has spent the majority of her career at the high school level, in which the push is for students to attend four-year universities. Not all students are four-year university students, but that does not mean their worth in society is any less. No society can exist on university graduates alone; therefore, it is essential that young people obtain career and technical education. My son loves working with metal, and thanks to a Metallica grant, he attended his first day of school today to become a precision machinist. Thank you, Metallica, for giving back!
