When I was 16 years old, I was living in a small town in the uk, skateboarding and working a Saturday job to save up for a sampler. I had just discovered this magical, mysterious sound coming from a place called America and so began my life long obsession. It has never left me. The fact that here I am decades later, living in Los Angeles and making beats for literally my favorite rapper is a testament to that kids refusal to give up. Being a creative can feel like a mountain to climb. At times an unstable, seemingly thankless one. Gratitude, humility that’s the only way out of that feeling for me. So, thank you all so much for listening, for sharing. It’s a beautiful journey that I really really do not take lightly. P x
