I have dreamt of competing a 3 triff routine on the World Stage for so many years (I actually think since 6x4 trampolines 👵🏻!!) and I once or twice considered using 121-1o in my set, but kept deciding against these different options due to various reasons - not enough time to train it or to practice in the right competition first, prioritised developing consistency in easier routines, prioritise scoring potential on routines I have, rehabbing injuries, managing training volumes etc…the time just passed by with other goals and priorities leading. So choosing to prioritise this goal in this moment was really big for me 😅. After Palm Beach World Cup, @brian_camp_consulting and I prioritised this really personal goal of mine, for the love of trampolining, and I am so thankful we did. It was a difficult challenge but a lot of fun, thank you Brian! We chose to use British Championships to debut the routine, but due to illness and fatigue (and quite a few other contributing factors) but mainly lack of practice under these circumstances it did not go to plan, particularly in the finals 😞 But I used this “low” experience to learn as much as I could moving forwards and was still determined to get this routine into a better place for competition. The training days in Varna I believed were going well (even trained my 16.2 upgrade 😁) and I was ready to give my best shot. The competition routine was far from excellent, with mistakes from skill 1, putting everything under pressure, but I am so happy that even after a shaky first routine (out-jumped onto the end deck 🤦🏼‍♀️!) I was determined to compete my 15.8, 3 triff vol for the first time on the World Stage and join a small (but expanding 💪🏻) group of women who have ever competed 3 triffs at a World Cup or World Championships. Although my semi-final routine was under par and missing out on the final by one place was painful, I look back at this time with pride and excitement! My fire continues to burn and I will take both the positive and negatives from these competitions moving forwards, learn and drive my training to be the best I can be!」10月16日 5時27分 - bryony_page
