In this digital age these horrible acts of violence send further ripples of terror across the globe both in the immediate access to their horror and also in how we respond or signal a response of how we are feeling. But pain takes no sides. Then I found myself having the perfect antidote to how I was feeling and the best reminder of what is important in life. I had an evening in my nation’s capital, Edinburgh, with my mum, who was so happy with the @pricklytartan gift I’d brought her that she insisted on standing up in my favourite restaurant @soralellaedinburgh to show it off properly.
