Featuring Paul Cain, Freck Billionaire, Red Cafe, Cam’ron, Vado, Trey Songz, Nicki Minaj & more.. A follow up to our 1st mixtape There Is No Competition in 2008.. The mixtape received great feedback amongst my fans & the mixtape culture. I was then approached by my record label Def Jam to do a EP Version of TiNc2. I agreed to do it.. as a way to bring the mixtape brand to DSP’s, which was kinda new at the time. The EP would have some original songs from the tape but would lose the freestyles bcuz they were over other artists beats. So to fill that void we would add a few new records to the TiNc 2 EP. In search for these new records is where YOU BE KILLIN’ EM came about.. I believe Lenny S provided me wit a folder of beats/songs made from a production / writing camp. 1 of the beats in this folder was produced by Ryan Leslie & later became YBKE. The “Killin’ Em” fit metaphorically wit the Funeral Service theme of TiNc2 & this became the lead single. Aristotle BAM shot the video in NYC starring Amber Rose & the rest is history! Fun Facts.. Adrienne Bailon told me Lenny gave her the beat also.. And after YBKE came out I got a phone call from Kid Cudi saying the track was his / he co-produced it with Ryan Leslie.
