A week or so ago, Woody sustained a bite to her back most likely from Nancey or Geena in a dominance scrap. I’ve been treating it with F10 wound cream and it’s looking amazing. Hyenas have an incredible capacity to heal. I’ve seen hyenas in the wild literally on death’s door the one day and a few days later looking like they’re ready to take on Tyson Fury. It’s part and parcel of being a hyena, fighting and being injured. They can be so loving in one breath and then really brutal in the next. The matriarchs certainly rule with iron fists! Thankfully Geena (the matriarch) and I go back over 21 years so she goes easy on me and keeps me around for chin scratches.
