We heard it was firing in the north so the next morning we woke at the crack of dawn and loaded up the trucks for the 10 hour journey. Changing flights last minute and getting in a quick brekkie before hitting the road. It was cold when we left the coast but the drive was hot, no AC through the middle of the Sahara.
