New York City is facing major flooding as heavy rain slams New York, New Jersey, Pennsylvania and Connecticut.
Flash flood warnings have been issued in Manhattan, Brooklyn, Queens, the Bronx, Staten Island and Long Island. New York Gov. Kathy Hochul has declared a state of emergency.
Brooklyn is submerged under more than 6 inches of rain, while Central Park has recorded more than 5 inches of rainfall so far.
Some New Yorkers have been rescued from flooded cars and basement apartments, but there were no critical injuries reported as of 2p EST, officials said.
Showers may continue Saturday morning, but the rain will move out of the Northeast by Saturday afternoon.
