Rediscover Fukushimaさんのインスタグラム写真 - (Rediscover FukushimaInstagram)「Hike & climb in the heights of Fukushima City! ⛰️🚶☁️ The Bandai-Azuma Skyline is a sightseeing road that leads to Jododaira, which, at 1500 m high, is the starting point of four hiking routes. ⛰️For a quick but exciting hike, take the popular route to the crater of Mt. Azuma Kofuji, which takes just 20 minutes. Walking around the entire crater usually takes about an hour, but you will be rewarded with stunning views. Do not forget to bring warm clothing and hold onto your belongings as it can get very windy at the peak! ⛰️ For a more challenging hike, try the Mt. Issaikyo & the Witch's Eye route, which takes around 3 hours or more both ways. Be aware of the gas levels though, since Mt. Issaikyo is an active volcano! There's also the Kamanuma Pond route, which only takes about 2 hours both ways. The Jododaira Visitor's Center Walking Course is the easiest and fastest, as it takes only about 20 minutes and is mostly flat. 🙌 ⚠️ When hiking in this area, don't forget to come prepared with warm clothing and comfortable shoes as the temperatures are lower than in the city center and there are strong winds. 🗓️🍁The peak for autumn foliage viewing is expected to be between mid to late October in this area.
