DeSantis and Christie Criticize Trump

Two rivals attacked Donald Trump for skipping Wednesday’s second GOP presidential debate despite the former president leading in the polls. Gov. Ron DeSantis of Florida said that Trump was “missing in action” and that Trump’s spending as president had set the stage for inflation. Chris Christie, who is also seeking the Republican presidential nomination, said that Trump was “afraid to be on this stage” and at risk of being called “Donald Duck” for ducking debates. Seven Republican hopefuls attended the debate on Wednesday at the Ronald Reagan Presidential Library in Simi Valley, California.
