Thank you so much @insidesoapmagazine for thinking me worthy of this award, I will be forever grateful ❤️ In 1999, little old me, a teenager still in high school, was cast in the legendary tv show that is @coronationstreet 🤩 I spent many happy years there playing the feisty Candice Stowe!! I was blessed to start my soap journey in such an iconic show, learning from the legends of the small screen. The cast, crew and production of Corrie were a dream to work with and I am grateful to them all for guiding and supporting me in my early years ❤️ Fast forward to 2012 and I begin my next epic soap journey at the incredible @hollyoaksofficial playing the wonderful Maxine Minniver! I’ve spent the last 11 years with Hollyoaks, and I am grateful to work with everyone at Lime Pictures, we are a team, a family, and I am blessed to work with such a talented bunch! I’m a big believer that you are only as good as the people around you, and I have spent nearly a quarter of a century working with phenomenal people. Without each and every one of them I wouldn’t be where I am today ❤️ This award isn’t just to celebrate 24 years in soap, but for the work I did in The Long Walk Home episode, an episode that I am very grateful to have been even the smallest part of. I’m so proud of what Hollyoaks achieved, featuring a programme that tackled such an important subject, with a valuable message, which resonated with every single person who watched it. I was devastated that I couldn’t be at the awards to be able to accept this in person and say how grateful I am, so I say it here… THANK YOU!!!!!
