トームさんのインスタグラム写真 - (トームInstagram)「#repost @tmagazine As part of T’s Art issue focused on the impact and evolution of New York City’s galleries, we looked at 15 exhibitions that have shaped the city’s art scene and the culture at large over the past 80 years. Among them is “Barbara Kruger,” shown at @maryboonegallery in 1991. The artist painted her version of an American flag onto the rolling security gate of the SoHo space. Inside the gallery, nearly every surface was covered with more large-scale text that pulled from (and undermined) the smooth, cheerful language of advertising, as well as with black-and-white photographs.
