In our October issue, we look at how @edra.official outshines its rivals with a totally unique approach to furniture making. The Italian brand works with a limited roster of authors, with whom it establishes a quasi-familial relationship, and its portfolio includes the iconic ‘Vermelha’ chair by @estudiocampana, flower-shaped armchairs by @masanoriumedadesigner and early furniture by @zahahadiddesign.
Pictured here is @edra.official co-founder and vice-president Monica Mazzei on an ‘On the Rocks’ sofa designed for Edra in 2004 by Francesco Binfaré, at the company’s showroom and HQ in Perignano, Tuscany. The sofa design marked the debut of Edra’s patented Gellyfoam polyurethane.
