As the inaugural project in our redesign initiative, we have modernized the traditional Japanese garment known as the "haori," transforming it into a fashion item. Our primary material choice consists of meticulously selected vintage kimonos primarily from the Showa era, considered treasures hidden within countless wardrobes across the nation, with an estimated total value reaching trillions of yen at the time of purchase. Additionally, we incorporate works from nationwide dyeing and weaving workshops, which carry forward traditional techniques facing challenges like succession.
