*Some people have been asking what happened to Manny, so I thought I'd share. Manny actually passed on June 21st. As you guys know, he had a permanent tracheostomy that helped him breathe, it literally saved his life. He was just shy of a year from his surgery and doing so well, until he wasn't. At the beginning of June he started having trouble breathing, especially when being held. (Which was difficult because he needed to be carried up/down the stairs, on/off the bed, etc.) One afternoon he passed out at home while waking from a nap and wasn't breathing. He needed CPR to revive him. Things just didn't get better from that day on. We love him so, so much and we couldn't let him suffer. It was the single hardest decision ever but he deserved a dignified exit from this world. Our whole family misses him terribly and we talk about him every single day.
