The Koenji Awa Odori Festival thrilled crowds in Koenji for two days, from August 26 to 27. This legendary event, which typically draws around 10,000 dancers and an astounding 1 million attendees, made its return after a four-year hiatus.

This year, the festivities were further enriched by the presence of diverse dance groups, including one specially invited from Tokushima, the birthplace of the Awa Odori dance, and another composed of enthusiastic dancers hailing from various countries in Asia. Together, they made for an exhilarating summer weekend.

東京・高円寺の「高円寺阿波おどり」が、8月26日(土) - 27日(日)の2日間開催されました。例年約1万人の踊り手が参加し、100万人の来場者を見込むイベントとして知られています。

4年ぶりに街路での開催が復活した今年は、阿波踊りの本場・徳島市から招待された連（グループ）や、アジア出身の外国人たちによる連など多彩な踊り手が参加し、夏の夜を大いに盛り上げました。
