A Seattle police officer is under investigation after his bodycam footage recorded him making light of the death 23-year-old graduate student Jaahnavi Kandula who was struck and killed by another officer. Officer Daniel Auderer can be heard saying that she was a “regular person” and “had limited value.”

Jaahnavi Kandula was in a crosswalk the night of Jan. 23 when an officer struck her with his patrol SUV.

RIP Jaahnavi Kandula.
