Q: Is it possible to have a client who you do a level 6 base touch up to cover her grays but wants icy blonde highlights?

A: By @the.blonde.chronicles - my personal opinion is cool blonde and a permanent base color that gets touched up every 6 weeks cannot coexist 😅 Are there exceptions to this? YES! Like maybe if the client gets a really light base touch up and/or their hair is incredibly strong and can handle a lot of lightening. But otherwise, I never ever promise cool toned blonde to my permanent base color clients. I say at best we may end up with warm golden/caramel tones, and if we get lighter or cooler. Most of the time, permanent color can be challenging to lift through…especially if it’s darker than a level 6.
